The partnership was created thanks to a Grundtvig contact seminar in Murcia (Spain) in November 2007. The organisations that make up this learning partnership are developing training and educational programmes with young adults, aged from 16 to 25, where some of them are socially disadvantaged or have failed at school and have a low level of basic social skills. Every one of the partners teaches social skills from different perspectives and with different methodological approaches, and they have decided to share them in order to learn from each other. Therefore, the fundamental aim of the “Mind the Gap” project is sharing, comparing, exchanging and assessing different work methodologies and procedures for the purpose of improving the quality of the training offered, the teachers’ teaching skills and the learning level achieved by the learners, thus contributing to making social inclusion easier for the young participants in the project. As a result of the project, the drafting of a methodological guide that includes the good practice used by the participating organisers is planned, as well as the dissemination of the results to other teaching professionals by means of a web site and the holding of thematic seminars in the different countries.
